The product information is clear and concise which helps the user make an informed purchasing decision. They can alternatively continue their journey to other related content through a number of access points. The integration of IMDB content gives the user a more indepth insight, it has been designed with a clear IMDB visual style that fits comfortably within the Amazon brand.

 

The template created was flexible enough to change depending on content type. For example, the user can either watch a trailer whilst on the movie page or navigate through seasons and episodes whilst on a television series page. 

 

When LoveFilm was acquired by Amazon the streaming content was integrated into it’s video service. The new online offering underwent a redesign to reflect the Amazon brand, improve the purchase and viewing experience and consolidate all the product information from LoveFilm, Amazon and IMDB.

 

Working within the design team my primary responsibility was to create the UX and visual design for the Movie and TV pages for Amazon Video. Creating a one page template that would accommodate movie content, individual television episodes and an entire series. The purchase process is slightly different depending on customer subscription and content type, all eventualities were explored when producing the UX design for the ‘Buy Box’ area.
